Sarah Rier - Sarah Rier is our Office Administrator. Sarah is highly organized, hardworking and helpful. She supports the staff and students par excellence. She has a big smile and huge heart. She loves to laugh, spend time with her family and dog, and travel. Sarah is on Leave this year. Her replacement is Colleen Burns Rickson.

Janice Blake-Johnson - Janice is beloved at City School by staff, parents and students alike. She’s an experienced and skilled teacher with an extensive knowledge of science. She is friendly and helpful, and very patient. She teaches a range of courses including Intermediate Science, and Senior Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Lesley Bunbury - Les is excited to lead City School as the Curriculum Leader. Les came to us from Contact Alternative School and, prior to Alt9, Northern Secondary School. She studied Politics and History at Queens University and holds a MA in dance from York University. By day she will be handling Guidnace and Admin; by night she is mom to two busy little girls. 

Dori Vanderhayden - Dori brings a wealth of experience to our Art classes. She previously taught at Central Tech. We are looking forward to her contributions to our small but thriving art community. As well, she is our English teacher,  a position for which she has extensive experience.

Shari Fairweather is our Educational Assistant. She is returning to City School  and we are delighted to have her back. She is very popular with students and staff alike.


Moving On

Ariadny Fragos - After two years at City  Ariadny is returning to Riverdale. She brought creativity and vitality to the Art program, and no doubt will do so in her new position.

Dan Pitt - Dan is moving on after 16 years. A committed math and science teacher, Dan wore his love for City School on his sleeve, making all his students feel valued and welcomed.

Barb Sniderman - After 12 years at City as a teacher and EcoSchools coordinator, our beloved Barb is heading to Inglenook where she will teach English and Social Studies.

Ian Esquivel - Ian was our Curriculum Leader for the past seven years. He is currently the Director of University Guidance & Counselling at Neuchatel Junior College in Switzerland.

Whitney Baker - After many years at City, Whitney has moved over to Downsview where his athletic expertise and knowledge of all things Geography will be an asset to the school.
